About...
Black Folk Hike
Black Folk Hike joins the movement to dispel the myth that black people do not hike in the beautiful outdoors. We hike in the wilderness of the mountains ... and everywhere else there are trails. Additionally, we are involved in just about every other fun outdoor activity you can think of, such as camping, backpacking, bicycle riding, zip lining, spelunking, including water sports such as kayaking, canoeing, sailing, scuba diving and snorkeling. We also skydive, hang glide, and of course we ski, snowshoe and snowboard, among other outdoor activities, not to overlook .
If you participate in any of these activities, post your photos and share your experiences. If you are a member of an outdoor group or organization, post the information so that others can join you. Here are some the ones of which we are currently aware ... check them out and find one in your area.
